Hello! My name is Kate, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to Pictura Studios. I wear many hats—I'm a wife, a mother, and the proud owner of this creative space.

Before I took the exciting step to establish my own art school, I was a qualified teacher with my last position at Calday Grammar School. Teaching has always been my passion, but I found myself yearning for a space where creativity could flourish in a more relaxed, personal environment. That's how Pictura Studios came to life.

I’m also a mum to two wonderful boys, Arthur and Oliver, who you might see running around the studio from time to time. They bring so much joy and energy into my life, and I love that they get to be a part of this creative journey with me.

At Pictura Studios, I believe that there’s an artist in everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or if you’ve been creating for years—these friendly, laid-back classes are designed to help people of all ages and abilities discover and nurture their inner artist. My goal is to create a space where your imagination and creativity can truly take flight.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll often find me out and about with the boys, enjoying our family time together. Our border collie, Max, is also a beloved part of our family—if you’ve visited the studio before, you’ve probably seen him snoozing under someone’s table! On those rare occasions when I get a quiet moment to myself, I love to work on my own art, immersing myself in the creative process that I find so fulfilling.
