Service Description

Our 6-week Fine Art Course is designed for children aged 6-14, blending foundational skills with creative expression. Each session builds confidence, inspires creativity, and equips young artists with valuable techniques—all wrapped in the magic of winter. Week 1: Drawing Skills – Shading & Perspective Children will learn the fundamentals of drawing, focusing on shading techniques and perspective to create depth in their artwork. They’ll draw a cosy winter cabin nestled in a snowy forest, bringing their scene to life with light, shadow, and careful composition. Key Skills: Shading, perspective (foreground, middle ground, background). Builds technical drawing skills applicable to all forms of creative work. Week 2: Colour Theory – Exploring Warm & Cool Tones This session introduces the concept of warm and cool colours, teaching how to use them to evoke mood and atmosphere. Students will paint a breathtaking winter sunrise or sunset, blending hues to create a glowing, vibrant masterpiece. Key Skills: Colour mixing, contrast, blending techniques. Provides foundational knowledge of colour relationships and enhances painting skills. Week 3: Creativity & Expression – Abstract Winter Art Encouraging imagination and personal expression, this week explores abstract art inspired by frost patterns and snowflakes. Students will use oil pastels and watercolours to craft vibrant and textured pieces that reflect their individuality. Key Skills: Pattern design, mixed media techniques, artistic expression. Fosters creativity while reinforcing key art techniques. Week 4: Fine Motor Skills – Detailing and Precision Work Students will develop precision and attention to detail by creating a winter animal portrait (such as a fox, hare, or robin) using fine-tipped markers and watercolours. The emphasis is on blending, linework, and careful detailing. Key Skills: Linework, blending, attention to detail. Encourages patience and fine motor skill development, critical for overall growth. Week 5: Painting Skills – Winter Acrylic Northern Lights This session dives into acrylic painting as children create a stunning Northern Lights scene over a snowy forest or mountain backdrop. Students will master blending vibrant colours to capture the drama and beauty of the aurora. Key Skills: Blending acrylics, creating light effects, contrast. Produces a striking, frame-worthy artwork

Cancellation Policy

Terms and Conditions – Art Classes and Workshops 1. Booking and Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place in any class, workshop, or course. Bookings are confirmed via email upon receipt of payment. 2. No Refunds Policy We operate a strict no-refunds policy once a booking is made. This applies to all courses, workshops, and classes. 3. Cancellations and Rescheduling by the Participant If you need to cancel your booking, we are unable to offer a refund. However: If cancellation is made more than 7 days before the start of the class/workshop, we will offer a one-time transfer to an alternative date or class, subject to availability. For cancellations made within 7 days of the class/workshop, no rescheduling or refund will be possible. 4. Cancellations by the Art School If we need to cancel or reschedule a class or workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, venue issues), we will: Offer a full refund; or Provide a transfer to an alternative date or class. 5. Illness and Emergencies If you or a child participant is unable to attend due to illness or an emergency, please inform us as soon as possible. We may, at our discretion, offer a transfer to another class if notice is provided more than 24 hours before the scheduled start. For last-minute illness (within 24 hours), no transfers or refunds will be available. 6. Missed Classes We cannot offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed classes if you are unable to attend a scheduled session. 7. Materials All materials required for the class or workshop are included in the cost unless otherwise specified. Participants are welcome to bring their own materials if preferred. 8. Health and Safety All participants must follow health and safety guidelines provided by the instructor. We are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur due to failure to comply with safety instructions. 9. Special Circumstances We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. In such cases, we will review requests for refunds or transfers on a case-by-case basis, at our discretion. 10. Changes to Terms and Conditions We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and communicated to participants where appropriate.
